ASTM A269: This is the standard specification for Seamless and Welded Austenitic Stainless Steel Tubes for general service. ASTM A269 covers the requirements for the chemical composition, mechanical properties, tolerances, and testing methods for stainless steel tubes used in general corrosion-resistant applications.
TP304 stainless steel has good weldability, allowing it to be used in welded applications without compromising its mechanical properties. It is commonly used in welded tube applications where strength and durability are essential.

- Nitrogen (N): ≤0.10%

Corrosion and Thermal Properties:

Oxidation Resistance: Suitable for continuous service up to 870°C (1600°F) and intermittent up to 925°C (1700°F).

Thermal Conductivity: ~16.2 W/m·K at 100°C, lower than copper but sufficient for many thermal applications.

Compatibility: Resists organic acids, nitric acid, and aqueous alkalies; avoid prolonged exposure to chlorides.
